About Narayana Bali & Naga Bali: These are two distinct but related rituals performed to liberate the souls of ancestors who met an untimely or unnatural death (e.g., accidents, suicide, illness, or starvation).

Narayana Bali: Performed to appease Lord Narayana (Vishnu) and grant Moksha to the stuck soul. It is considered a form of “funeral” for those whose last rites were not performed correctly.

Naga Bali: Performed to get rid of the sin of killing a snake (cobra) in a past life or Pitra Dosh caused by snake curses (Naga Dosh).
